Donald J. "Donnie" Reichel

Donald J. “Donnie” Reichel, 38, of Logansport passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at home.

Born on March 17, 1985 in Logansport, he was the son of Robert and Kathy (Keplinger) Reichel.

He was a member of the Indiana Laborers International Union #274 in Lafayette. 

Donnie was an Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs fan.  He was an avid mushroom hunter who loved spending time outdoors with his dogs, Peyton and Mocha. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and dirt bike.

Donnie was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had a big heart and a great sense of humor. He was a cherished son, brother, and friend who will be forever missed.  

Survivors include his parents, Robert Reichel of Logansport and Kathy Reichel of Logansport, brothers, Anthony Reichel (Heather) of Logansport and Matthew Reichel of Indianapolis, sister, Alyssa Reichel of Indianapolis, aunts and uncles, Mary and Don Clem, Patty and Gary Henry and Karen Peters, nephew, Joseph Reichel, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dorothy Kidd and Donald Reichel and Ted and Mary Keplinger and his beloved dog, Peyton.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2023 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport. Pastor Jeff Hayes will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Logansport.
