Edward W. Gates, 91, of Rochester formerly of Eustis, Florida passed away peacefully at 12:35 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023 at home. Born on August 16, 1931 in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Clayton and Eunice (Johnson) Gates. Edward was a graduate of the University of Florida.  He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer after 21 years of service.
